Hey Sister ~

This fall, if you feel called,

join me for a women’s gathering:

Crone Wisdom

in Taylor, TX

This gathering is for you if…

… you’re cultivating your particular medicine or magic, making use of your innate power

… you’re ready for a potentially life-altering experience facilitated by an elder

… you’d enjoy being in community with like-minded women celebrating their uniqueness

… you’re ready for a change of scenery with someone else doing meal prep

… you’re free Friday 10/31 through Sunday 11/2

~ What I bring ~

I discovered Greek mythology at age nine. Mind blown.

Over time, my fascination with the Olympians — and the archetypes they represented — morphed into curiosity about my fellow humans. Why we suffer. What we value. How we can grow.

(We’re incredibly brave to show up in vulnerable bodies on planet Earth at this time, yes?)

In my early 60s, when I was finally ready to shift out of my own suffering, my sister introduced me to the enneagram. Again, mind blown.

I now bring this ancient wisdom tradition to others — to help them learn and apply this system and transform their suffering. I am happy to share this with you.

PS I also bring amazing music, delicious food, a beautiful environment, and contagious joy.

~ What You Can Expect ~

Let’s co-create an experience for peers: mature and maturing women

I would like to spend some time in the company of women who are doing interesting, edgy, potentially impactful things with their lives, just as I am.

So I’m inviting you into the Sacred Container to come together in community for a while.

Below are some options of what we might do with our time together. Want to play?

Mindfulness and presence

meditation and journaling

No prior experience or special abilities are required here. Just bring a journal and a pen you like for writing (or for drawing, or for scribbling, or for stabbing holes in pages).

Healing movement

freeform dance and play

I encourage you to bring your beginner mind – or, perhaps, your years of experience in movement – as we explore ways to nurture and heal ourselves playfully and with light hearts through freeform dance.

Magic

Witness and be witnessed in our imperfect perfection

If I’ve invited you directly, it’s because I see wisdom, strength, and goodness in you. My vision is for us all to experience the particular magic that each sister holds.

Prepare to step together into greater power and mutual support during our time together. And to have fun while doing it!

Plant medicine

nourishing meals

around an inviting table

Meals are included, starting with lunch on Friday and extending through brunch on Sunday. Feel free to contribute to food costs and/or to bring something to share.

If you thought I meant a different kind of plant medicine, ask. Could we plan an experience outside of retreat time? Maybe …

~ Details and Logistics ~

  • The retreat runs October 31 through November 2 ~ Friday lunchtimethrough Sunday brunch.

You may arrange to arrive before the retreat date and/or stay extra days after the retreat ends.

I can envision several reasons for doing so:

    • you would like to work privately with me on a topic or to have a particular experience

    • you would like private time by yourself or with another person

    • you can reduce your cost by helping me prepare the space in advance and/or restore the space after the retreat ends.

  • Taylor, Texas is located 45 minutes NE of Austin. Retreat activities take place in the Sacred Container at Taylor Cottage, located in an historic neighborhood.

I will help you sort out arriving in Taylor. The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom. Alternatively, Amtrak stops in Taylor if you enjoy train travel.

  • There are hotel and BnB options nearby. Locals can join us for the day and go home to sleep.

Specifically, there are three options I recommend. The first two are an easy walk to the Cottage. (Note: this is not an exclusive list. You may find something else you like if you search.)

Women who live nearby may join us for the day and go home to sleep. Depending on traffic, the commute from nearby communities such as Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Manor, Hutto, and Elgin is less than an hour.

  • This retreat will cost what you pay for transportation to Taylor and for lodging, plus any amount you would like to donate for food.

I’m not charging for your participation, as this is as much a treat for me as it will be for you. Come and enjoy.

I’m cooking. If you are moved to bring food to share, please let me know in advance so we won’t both be making quinoa salad …

~ What about … ~

… my special dietary needs?

We can do meal planning in advance, and/or you are invited to bring the ingredients you need and prepare food on-site. Fortunately, the kick-ass kitchen in the retreat space can accommodate more than one chef.

… my physical limitations?

We’ll plan in advance to work with whatever you bring. All bodies are welcome.

… my aversion to crowds?

I enjoy the experience of intimate conversation, and I like to keep distractions to a minimum so that we can engage in deep personal growth work. Retreats are limited to eight women, plus me.

~ Kind Words for Kathryn ~

Kathryn’s experiences are a lift for my spirit. She holds a beautiful space — a judgement-free zone where I can be myself ...
— J.B.

Kathryn has superpowers of empathy, leading to an ethereal but balanced wisdom. She has served as mentor to many through her deep study of the enneagram. In my view, she is the perfect guide, embodying experience, knowledge, and good judgment.
— H.S.

I encourage women to try this experience because it feels safe, natural, and authentic. There is no comparison, competition, or judgment — it’s open and supportive.
— L.K.
When I show up and move in our community, I’m reminded how much more alike we are as human beings than we are different. After my practice, I often notice a real connection to my body and a lift in my spirit.
— B.E.
