I’m happy that you may be interested in bringing your retreat to this sacred container. Having hosted several group retreats here, I’ve loved watching people melt into the inviting space this sweet old house offers. Folks seem to feel at home right away.

The spacious living room is perfect for group activities such as circles, teachings, and movement. Between events, people can easily gather in- or outdoors for conversation or find a quiet corner. The kitchen is big enough for several people to work at once, and the dining table can accommodate eight people at once, and there are several other places where people can eat.

If you would like to host without my presence, you may decide to invite others to stay in the house with you. Three beds are readily available: one queen and one twin — each in a separate bedroom — and a twin-size daybed in the living room. There are two additional twin-size blow-up beds you may set up in the living room, with plenty of sheets and covers.

If I am holding the space and managing the logistics, I can be staying onsite and sharing the house with you (I sleep in the small bedroom with the twin bed and you get the beautiful master bedroom) — or if you prefer solitude at the end of the day, I can easily stay offsite but nearby.

There are three good sleeping options for your people (and me, perhaps) to stay. The first two are an easy walk to the Cottage.

(Note: this is not an exclusive list. Participants may find something else with a search.)

It’s possible for people who live nearby to join for the day and go home to sleep. Depending on traffic, the commute from nearby communities such as Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Manor, Hutto, and Elgin is less than an hour.

This place checks all the boxes and more! I love the character of an older home and the open design of this one. It has all the modern amenities — stocked kitchen with modern appliances and smart TV. I really appreciated the quality linens and comfortable beds. The back deck is huge with a great view of the park across the street. — Kirby

Wow! This place is so perfect and adorable! It is in a prime location right next to Murphy Park and only a few blocks from the old Taylor high school (which is a really neat place with multiple businesses). I would definitely love to stay at this place again! 100% recommend! — Kevin

Lovely, clean, spacious, and very well equipped house. Photos give an accurate description. Generous supplies of kitchen essentials. Warm and snug in the winter with good beds and plenty of warm bedding. Good WiFi. Large deck great for watching the sun set over the lake. This property fully deserves its 5-star rating. — Digby

This place is very clean, spacious, peaceful, and really lovely. It had everything we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. It is close to a pretty lake and downtown Taylor that has plenty of restaurants and cute new shops. — Janet

Absolutely incredible stay. The host was so kind and so accommodating. The neighbors are super nice as well. I highly recommend. A++ — Jake

For my third review I will feature the outside spaces which, not surprisingly, are great. The covered front porch is a comfortable spot to watch the exciting comings and goings in Taylor but the back yard is the real standout. We spent a lot of time on the large deck in the back which has a killer view of the lake in Murphy Park. There are 4 comfy chairs and a table big enough for dining. One evening, we watched tons of egrets commuting back to their homes at the park as the sun set. — Tim
