I sooooooo LOVED tonight’s playlist, Shine and Shadow! I really enjoyed being able to sing the lyrics out loud and with all my heart, along with dancing to the wonderful music. You played some of my favorites. Always wanted to dance to Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd. I had never got to dance to it with all the feeling it evokes in me. EPIC!

Your incredible still.being.moved class fulfills all my movement needs in an intimate and private setting. I can enjoy every moment at my own pace without feeling self-conscious, rushed, embarrassed, or stressed. It brings nothing but peace of mind and healing to my body, mind, heart, and soul. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gifts with us.

Kathryn has created a beautiful, sacred space in which to dance, express, and experience movement, love, and joy. She holds the space with such grace and skill. Her expertise and years of experience are apparent in her music selections, timing, and support of the participants’ freestyle and dance movements. I look forward to dancing with her more.

Over several years, I’ve participated in a variety of Kathryn’s classes on a very regular basis in Chacala, Mexico. If Kathryn is teaching, folks—men and women—show up!

Kathryn is truly an experienced teacher on all levels of the human spectrum. Her classes are strong workouts and lots of fun! Her style of teaching is unique. Both the Yoga and Core Play classes offer clear and supportive instructions with lots of options and ways to experiment with your own level of physicality. Always they are invitations, not commands. You get to grow stronger and more balanced at your own rate.

The movement events are not classes, but rather engaging fun and safe environments encouraging us to just be ourselves in rhythmic movement through dancing, stretching, twirling, whatever. She brings her love of music and movement out in all of us, guiding us without saying a word, permission given to relax and move to your own pleasure and grace. All the classes and gatherings have one main theme running through them: have fun with yourself, you are a spiritual being in a human body, so relax and go for it in your joyous body, mind, and heart.

I’ll admit, I was a skeptic when I went to Kathryn’s first movement gathering. By the time it was over, I was convinced it was beneficial to the mind, body, and spirit. Kathryn is so positive and encouraging, you feel free to get lost in the music. You move by yourself, but you feel connected. I always leave feeling ‘lighter.’

One of my favorite things to do is DANCE and free flow is awesome. Thank you, Kathryn, for always setting the mood with fairy lights, candles, or whatever else you are moved to use. Seems it always is a bit different, as are our moods. Your playlist starts softly and I love the way it energetically builds to encouraging release, lots of movement and sometimes vocal release as well. I love the way we sometimes start and finish on our yoga mats. Sometimes laughter and tears, beautiful emotions are always encouraged, all emotions are beautiful, even dark are beautiful because they offer growth. I’d love to come dance with you in your new studio.

Kathryn creates a space of permission, curiosity, and playfulness, which consistently allow my body to be a body in all the ways she likes, with little interference from my properly conditioned and civilized mind. Practicing still.being.moved with her through the COVID-19 pandemic was a gentle and fun unlearning of what I thought it meant to move, to not move, and to witness and be witnessed. The freedom of expression that I found through it has been a precious gift.
